I’ve been singing more lately (much to Nathan’s chagrin) and thought I’d share the song I seem to sing the most. The Itsy Bitsy Spider is a close second…Nathan actually asks for more of that one. Go figure. Must be because it’s about a bug.
I’ve been singing You Are My Sunshine, but with a twist. I learned the revised version from a Veggie Tales DVD. I don’t know if the wrote the lyrics or just animated them, but they are much more upbeat. There is no hanging of the head and crying.
Here goes:
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine

I’ve done the opposite. We’ve got four more versus to Jesus loves me for Duncan that tell him that we love him too (C & I and my parents) i.e. “Papa loves me this I know/ for my mummy tells me so/ he would rather be with me/ than be out on the first tee”.

So sweet Angella, think I might be taking those words myself. THe girls and I love to sing, in fact Coco is constantly telling me I must sing this or that. I say, mummy needs a break!!!!

Your kids will remember you singing that song to them always. My mom used to sing “You Are My Sunshine” to me when I was very young, and I cannot hear that song today without tears coming to my eyes.
