Thanks for all of your wonderful birthday wishes. If everything had gone according to plan, I would be posting pictures of my great weekend. As the reality of my weekend was not too pretty, no pictures were taken. If they had been, I definitely wouldn’t be sharing them.
I have an idea for a nice descriptive post to try and put a humorous spin on my weekend. Unfortunately, I still cannot be vertical for long periods of time.
Why?
Because I spewed vomit and other stuff from my body from about 7pm on Friday until just after midnight. I sat on the can and hurled into a bucket. That is, until I was empty and just dry heaved into the bucket.
I don’t remember EVER being that violently ill.
Saturday and Sunday were spent on the couch. I think I may be there today as well. Nathan has the same thing so he’s been my couch buddy. Matthew took care of us on Saturday, then succumbed to the same fate yesterday. We somehow made it through the day.
Graham so far just has a cough and Emily is fine. I wash my hands a billion times a day in hopes of not infecting her.
I have had a lot of time to contemplate on how I should spend the birthday money I received. I think hiring someone to clean our toilets would be a good use of part of that money.
I ate my first piece of solid food this morning (a piece of toast) and I hope it all goes well. I’m also hoping to have a “Do-over” next weekend in honour of my birthday.
I’d like to be able to catch up on you guys soon as well. Peace out.

You poor thing!! I am so sorry your birthday was spent on the can! Not a good way to spend your special day! It sounds like you have great friends though, who will take you out when you’re well. Get better!

That sounds awful! Hope you are all feeling better really soon!

That is terrible. I hope that your household is healing quickly!

You poor things. There should be a natural law against both parents getting sick at once. I hope the three of you recover quickly and that Graham and Emily stay well.

I am going to go out on a limb and guess that wasn’t what you wished for!
Hope you and your honey are feeling much, much better. Jay and I succumbed to something a bit less severe on the same day once – the boys were NOT sick. It was a day.

It sounds that you need all the love, all for yourself…I hope you will be okay soon…
