I have desperately been wanting to post as there is So. Much. GOING. ON.
But the whole, um, GOING-ON-ness (New word, thanks to me), has prevented me from connecting with my laptop. Or you guys.
I am overwhelmed with emotions about this weekend and will spare you the squeals of “IT’S SO AWESOME” (even though it really and truly is). To be honest, there are also some not-so-awesome-moments. Like when you are buzzing around for eight hours straight chatting with one hundred different people…and then choose to step outside lest your head explode.
I also miss my family, and will spare you the story of me bursting into tears in H&M while talking to Honey. It was AWESOME. And also? A little embarrassing.
I will give start with the Wednesday/Thursday recap, because it is somewhere to start at least.
Wednesday
I arrived in San Francisco shortly after 5pm and Leah and Simon picked me up. They are all sorts of awesome. Truly. They have been my “go to” people and have made this whole crazy weekend a little more grounded.
We had all been invited to a Nintendo party hosted by Holly from Nothing but Bonfires.

The great thing about it was that I got to meet some of the women I most admire from the Internet…including my roommate Heather B. and the wonderful Susan Wagner.

They are more amazing in person than you could ever imagine.
I met a bunch of other ladies (TOO TIRED TO LINK RIGHT NOW), and had so much fun getting to know everybody while completely bombing at guitar hero. I am SO NOT A ROCK STAR.
I also got slammed while playing Brain Age 2. According to the brain games on there? I am the ripe old age of 64. SIXTY-FOUR.
To help ease our pain, they gave each of us a free Nintendo DS at the end of the night…with a copy of Brain Age 2. I think they may want to help me knock my brain age down a couple of decades.
I clearly have my work cut out for me.
Thursday
Leah, Heather and I ventured to downtown SF (Leah is from across the bridge) in hunt of the perfect Mexican food. I would have taken a photo but I was too busy stuffing my face and licking my fingers. I may also have been flapping my lips.
Leah led us to an ally that had some amazing graffiti.

Here is Miss Leah, looking so compact and adorable.

Can you believe she is halfway through her pregnancy? SHE IS SO TINY. Love her.
Here is Miss Heather.

She is even better in person than she comes across as on the Internet. Love her.
The murals were absolutely astounding.

I wish I could bring my kids down here for a photo shoot.
We traipsed around for a bit in the shopping district before checking into the hotel. I then ventured out on my own to do a bit of shopping and phoned home.
*Insert random breakdown here*
The rest of the night was amazing. There were two different parties which I floated between and was accosted/accosted someone else every 2.3 minutes. Then my head exploded and made my laptop inoperable.
I would post photos of the evening but I only took about FIVE photos. Those flapping lips came into effect again and hindered the photo taking. I did get this one from the end of the night:

I would link everyone, BUT I AM SO TIRED. I am sure you know most of these girls by sight anyways.
Here is my favourite piece of graffiti from the walk (saved the best for last).

Now I am off to get some breakfast and look through the photos from last night which include some that you will most definitely be interested in.
I will fill in the rest of the details after I get home. Have a great weekend, folks!

Awesome graffiti!! At first glance I thought the escalator was real and some snapshot from the hotel of you being exhausted and heading to bed. (Do they even have escalators in hotels?) Can’t wait to see more photos and of course you know that I am insanely jealous…but it would be a comment w/o me saying that. Have fun, get enough sleep to keep you going and post more pictures!!
