As I was getting supper ready, Matthew grabbed his binoculars and peered through the bay window out the front of our house. It appears (Magnified!) that the family across the street purchased a shiny new quad (ATV). Honey was battling with Quad Envy until I reminded him that we have two (TWO!) four-wheeled contraptions. Four, if you count the two quads that the kids have.
No need to be greedy now.
The kids were all over the spying and the binoculars and took up where Daddy left off.
(This is my 30 Tiny Moments photo. Do you guys want to see them here, or should I just post them on Flickr?)
Are you glad you do not live in the house across the road from us? If you do move in, make sure you are fully clothed at all times.

When Uncle Lance got home we all sat down for supper. His t-shirt read “PUMA” and it is Graham’s favourite. Thanks to Dora’s cousin Diego Graham actually knows what a puma is. He asked Uncle Lance why his shirt said “PUMA”.
“Because it was made by the pumas.”
“Really? The pumas made your shirt?”
“Yes they did.”
“How did they make your shirt?”
“They used their claws, and they knit it in their shirt factory.”
Graham thought that was awesome. I did not set the story straight. Graham lives in imaginary land about ninety-five percent of the time.
Who am I to burst his bubble?

After supper we had our nightly dance-fest while cleaning up the chaos. Emily’s artist of choice is the amazing Justin Timberlake. She and I were shaking our tail feathers when Honey brought up the fact that he would love to see JT in concert. We had watched a concert of his on TV last weekend and it looked pretty high-energy and entertaining.
I confessed that I might have a tiny crush on Mr. Timberlake.
(Celebrity crushes are harmless. They are of the It-Would-Never-Be-A-Reality genre.)
Honey got the kids into their swim suits in preparation for a family trip to the hot tub while I finished cleaning up dinner (I got the better end of the deal for sure). I pondered our conversation and was reminded of that Friend episode where they discuss who would be on their “freebie” list.
When we got into the hot tub I talked to Honey about this and told him I felt a blog post coming on. I asked him who his top three celebrity crushes were. His answers:
- After yesterday’s Superbowl? Alicia Keys
- Angelina Jolie
- Jessica “question mark”. It is a toss-up between Jessica Biel, Jessica Simpson and Jessica Alba
My turn.
- Justin Timberlake. Duh.
- George Clooney
- I am taking the wild card approach, thanks to Honey. Matthew McConaughey and Matthew Fox.
I have not met a Matthew I did not like. Have you seen my husband?
Who are your top celebrity crushes?
(Feel free respond to parts one and two of this post instead, if you are lead.
I am a poet and did not know it…)
