That was a freaking awesome rant. I wish I could rant about some stuff on my blog but the people I want to rant about might read it. Mostly I need to rant about work: Freelancers need to get paid on time too! I bet you don't pay the electricity late! Holding our checks for months might mean we can't pay our mortgage!!!! Phew. You've opened the floor to ranting? Where do I begin? I see there's a line, however. Well, I'll just wait my turn. (I'll check out my blog stats on my brand new iphone that I just got as the awesomest Mother's Day present ever, that I waited for for a year because AT&T is a bunch of effing jerks and wouldn't let me upgrade before my contract was up for renewal even though I've been a loyal AT&T customer for 12 God damned years and then they pretended I was getting a deal because my contract wasn't quite up but they were allowing the upgrade anyway and then today they release the new, cutting edge effing iphone 3G S for $100 bucks less than I paid for my now obsolete version that, did I mention I just got last month?) Oh, I agree. I hate those divisive comments, women snarking at other women for their choices. Also, puppies. Love my dog. Love him. But sometimes he is a real pain. Also, my kids don't seem to have the indoor voice concept. Everything is LOUD AND OVERLAPPING. WE ALL MUST SPEAK LOUDLY AT THE EXACT SAME TIME. Lordy. But, body image. That's a tough one. I pick apart myself all the time, and it's just not good. We really need to learn to love our bodies and let the past go. You may have been a "big girl" once but you aren't anymore, you need to have peace with that. I am the same way so I completely sympathize. Just cut yourself a break, you are LOVELY. Ha HA HA Ha HA! A good laugh first thing in the morning (of course, you didn’t mean for it to be funny, I know…when somebody else says whats already in your head…and you didn’t realize you were ready for a rant, too? Can’t help but make you smile.
And Angella, people in our town (not all, but a lot) are morons. I’ve actually heard the response, “Oh, she’ll smarten up” after reaponding that my son that was wearing a dress and earrings was actually a daughter. Because clearly, my ‘idiot’ daughter should have known better than to appear like a boy?!
