Oh, how I love my fellow ranters. I also love that you are “occasional” ranters because if we spent all day, every day ranting, how miserable would we be? SO miserable, that’s what.
Thanks for your well-wishes for the dudes. They spent Thursday at home and felt good midday (as kids are wont to do), then went downhill from there. There have been many cuddles and many frozen snacks and many cold compresses but they are better! Ish. I think. Regardless, we made an appointment with our family Doctor for Tuesday to discuss Nathan and his Angry Tonsils.
Sickness aside, I’ve been keeping up. Ish.
Over at Work It! Mom:
Over at Cafe Mom
I was asked to be a part of another program over there and have two (TWO) posts up this week.
- Clean your microwave in (less than) five minutes
- Organizing our laundry room (Three years later, I still love the mud-slinging photos.)
Over at The Bad Moms Club:
- Bad Moms Love Photography/Instagram Gift Ideas (The Keepsy folks left a comment giving you guys a 20% off discount code for their photo books/calendars. It expires soon, so use it quickly.)
Over at Life Made Delicious
- Corn and chicken chowder (A winter staple in our house.)
I have nothing else to say except that it is Friday! FRIDAY. The dudes should be well enough to help us fill our Operation Christmas Child boxes after we pick Emily up from school. We have other fun stuff planned both with and without the kids this weekend. (Board game night! Date night! And maybe even some sleep!)
I also need to start (yes, start) Christmas shopping. Please tell me that I’m not the only one who hasn’t started yet.

I have barely even thought about it!
Glad the boys are better and yay for Fridays!

I was just thinking about my disgusting microwave. Totally doing that today.
I have not started Christmas shopping yet either. I refuse to do anything Christmasy until December. Because I am a grinch.
Noah and Kaylie did OCC boxes with our church’s kids club last night. One of our favorite Christmas traditions.

Each year I like to have all my shopping done by Thanksgiving, when stores go crazy nuts. Last 2-3 year successful. Then this year happened…. and one week ago I realized, I didn’t have ONE present, or even a LIST. All that to say, you are not the only one!

Mmm, I just printed your soup recipe. Can’t wait to try it!
And what is this “Christmas Shopping” you speak of? We are moving this weekend and next, so I have new furniture/housewares on my mind (along with packing/cleaning/freaking out). Haven’t had time to buy one present yet. Might have to go old school and just put a loonie and an orange in their stockings…I’m sure they won’t mind

geez – you’re busy, but you GOT. IT.
would it be a little *too* weird to ask you to adopt a 36 year old almost single woman?

You’re going to think me crazy but I’m jealous of your snowy winter wonderland. We’ve been in extreme equatorial heat and humidity since August more or less, and while I prefer heat to cold, it’s really hard to get into the holiday spirit when you’re in a sundress every day! I think I’d like a month of snow and then would welcome summer back
