Thank you guys so much for the comments and emails and phone calls regarding yesterday’s post. I’m fine, really. It’s Tax Season and the days are long and it never fails – about two weeks out, regardless of what day that is, I am done. Done, done, DONE. My body starts to give out on me (more than usual) and my patience is thin (more than usual)(patience is not a virtue I come by naturally on a good day) and the best word to describe me is FRUSTRATED. I’m frustrated that I can’t seem to keep on top of everything (or anything) and I’m frustrated that I don’t see my kids as much as I would like and I’m frustrated that I’m frustrated. Blergh.

Another big frustration is that I feel creatively constipated. I love to take photos. I love to edit photos. I love to share photos. I love to look at photos taken by others. I love it, and it fills me up, but I simply do not have the time and it gets to the point where I JUST WANT TO TAKE PHOTOS ALREADY.

My frustration seems silly in light of this weekend. A bit trite, even. For it is Good Friday and Easter and kind of the whole reason that I believe what I believe (God! Jesus! Forgiveness! Sermon on the Mount! Loving others!) and how I ended up married to the perfect man (for me) and the Mom to the perfect kids (for me).

It’s not that I haven’t captured the moments when I could, for I did. Taken with my phone, yes, and edited with Instagram, yes, but taken and posted to Flickr as well and downloaded to my laptop so that I can hold onto them and remember the little moments that make my every day.

So many little moments, so much to be thankful for.

Happy Easter, friends.

    Creatively constipated. Now that’s a visual. ;-)

I’ve said before and I’ll say it again: you’re kids? SO CUTE.

Between midterms (who has two midterms for the SAME class in the space of one week?! Oh right, me.) and working funky hours I haven’t been able to do anything for me.

I have about four blog posts in my head but by the time I get any time at all to do something for me it’s usually so late that I just need to sleep.

I hope this Easter weekend is just what you need to refresh your soul and get you all creative again. :)

Here’s to a joyous Easter weekend. For, just like you said, we have so many things–moments and faces and places–for which to be thankful.

I, for one, am thankful for you. And your face. And your place in my life.

How anyone survived before iPhones and Instagram is beyond me. I mean the moments that are captured that would have otherwise slipped through my massive sive for a brain abound.

I hope this weekend finds you encouraged and feeling renewed. I know I could use my own renewing and am hoping it comes with the celebration this weekend. I mean seriously, He DIED for us (and His father allowed it to happen because he loved us. I can’t fathom that when I look at my children. I know nobody I’d sacrifice them for)! And I’m beyond unworthy, that’s something to be happy for, for sure!

    Happy Easter !

In that one of your children watching the ducks, Miss Emily looks like she’s poised to leap into the air and take flight with the ducks if they decided to flap around over the lake for a while. I’m pretty convinced she could fly if she wanted to.

    Have a good weekend, you.

I love Instagram because of it’s ability to capture moments that would otherwise have been missed.

I hope you have a fabulous Easter with your family!!

The picture of the three kiddos standing in line near the lake is so cute !! And your daughter is going to be one tall woman when she’s growed up :-D
Yay for tall women (with a hint of envy since I’m only 5’3″) !

    And Instagram rocks – I’m a new convert :-D
