The teachers here in B.C. are on strike (I’m not going to discuss it, here), and so my kids have been out of school this past Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Matthew took Monday off of work to wrangle the kids/work from home, and I took Tuesday to do the same. My kids are great and awesome and amazing but … they are kids. You/we can’t expect them to entertain themselves forever and ever, amen.
I have Fridays off at The Firm and I switched my days off so that I could just hang out with my kids. And hang out, we did. We drove up to Apex, just the four of us, and while I was a little bit (OR A LOT) nervous to take all three kids to the ski hill all by my bad self, it was such a good day.

Nay, it was a GREAT day. I love my/our life. It’s a good one.
*Mad props to Matthew who guided me through iMovie. And who loves me every day.

Love the video – I keep meaning to practice with my little flip camera so we can make movies like this one on our trip in Asia.
Also, I can’t believe how good the kids are already! I have never skied or snowboarded but you guys make it look so fun and easy (although I’m sure it’s not that easy to start with). I’m inspired anyway, I think I’ll have to try learn (it might also help manage my hatred of winter).
Glad you’re all enjoying it so much!
What a great video! For sure, one that you will treasure for years to come. You’ve reminded that I really need to try and take more videos of my little one.
LOVE the video!
Emily is a better skier than me. (What a fun day!)
I am smiling so big right now!!!
Also, SUPER impressed that you filmed WHILE skiing! Whoa!
I’ve been enjoying the stills, but live action was awesome. Glad you guys are having so much fun with your new sport.
Awesome video! Your kids are great little skiers! And you must be pretty awesome yourself, skiing and filming at the same time!
Time to work on the parallel swing! And please DO discuss your teacher strike right here!
Just kidding! Maybe!
xoxo
Look at them go! Love the video.
That is so awesome! I especially love seeing Emily just rip down the hill. Seems like just yesterday she was a little baby. Great job on editing, too! iMovie is swell.
The idea of my daughter’s teachers going on strike made me nervous.
