Oh, thank you, friends, for your comments and emails and DMs and phone calls. I often sit on new developments for a few days before I spew them onto the blog, but Tuesday saw me blogging like it was 2005. (I’ve been blogging since 2005. Cue Craig Ferguson: The ‘ell?) I came home, sat down, and laid it all out, and then walked away from computer. That last part is probably not good etiquette, but I spewed and walked away to sit on the couch and watch teevee. Coping, etcetera.
Let’s focus on the things that I am thankful for, shall we?
I get to (Get to!) be married to Matthew. He of the horrible spelling and quick wit that both make me laugh uproariously. He who is tall, (mostly) dark, and handsome. He who is the best Daddy any kid could ever hope to have. He who makes me feel like I am the most gorgeous woman who has ever graced planet Earth.
My three kids. So beautiful, so hilarious, so unbelievable. I don’t even know how I get to be their Mom. No, really. I don’t get it.
My church family. Shared faith aside, these people love me, encourage me, and make me laugh on a regular basis.
My friends. Summerland has some kind of blessing upon it where the women here are off the charts amazing. You guys really have no idea. And then there are the people whom I’ve met through this website who also hold a piece of my heart. So much love. It’s almost unbearable. Almost.
The work/freelance opportunities I have. And, the ones I will pursue now that I am free to do so.
I am so thankful. And even better, I am hopeful.

xx

YAY! We have no choice but to walk on the path laid before us. Might as well have feelings of gratitude, because it could always be worse! I’m thinking about you and hoping that just what you need is right around the corner.

I love how you can see the bright side. Part of the reason I like you so much.
And I mean to say that I love your flower/nature photos that you post. Gorgeous, my friend!
