Summer

I LOVE summer.

Yes, it can get disgustingly hot (Go Puffy! Go Puffy!), but that’s the only negative compared to a plethora of positives. The heat isn’t entirely negative either. As someone who is almost always cold, it’s a nice change that my hands, feet and nose aren’t like ice.

I was thinking about summer, and what it is that I love about it. I realized that most things about it end in “er”…just like summer. Here’s what I mean:

The days are longer.
The nights, and darkness, shorter.
The sky is bluer.
The grass is greener (or browner, if you don’t/can’t water it).
The sun is brighter, and makes us darker.
Honey looks even hotter.
The air is warmer, but the pool makes it cooler.
Diet Coke tastes even better.
The memories are funner (poetic license).
Girls’ nights are oftener (again, the license).
Slurpees are sweeter.
Flowers are prettier.
The kids are happier, even cuter (if possible), and at night, they are sleepier.

See what I mean? And that’s just a small sampling.

I love summer.

I love summer too! It’s so sweet to live in a place named after the glorious season!! And I don’t think you look puffy at all. :)

I SO agree. So why am I in Calgary?? Hopefully one day I’ll make it back home to Salmon Arm. Enjoy that pool for me.
