That’s what I felt like yelling this afternoon as I left IKEA; just like the lady in the commercial.

I arrived there at 10 on the dot, right as they opened the doors. I took my time, browsing the showroom, taking notes of what I wanted to pick up in the warehouse.

You see, our house has been under renovation for…FIVE YEARS. And it will be DONE this summer. Hallelujah, Praise the LORD.

I have a craft room off of my bedroom that is renovated, but a complete gong show. Piles of crap…I mean craft stuff everywhere.

I needed shelving (and baskets! You can never have too many baskets!), as well as a desk…and a cute white chair to match my white shelves and desk. I got all that, as well as the neat wire basket unit for even more storage. I’ll be sure to show you some before and after shots of my craft room overhaul.

I took pictures of a couple of chairs to show Honey, to see if he liked them for our soon-to-be-finished family room. I got down to the warehouse, and ended up buying a sweet little black bistro table with black & wood chairs. Never mind the pictures I bought to decorate the walls of my craft room…

I thought it appropriate to show my haul, though most of it is in boxes:

To quote Matthew on the storage capacity of our minivan, “It’s VANtastic!”

I then headed to Old Navy, and bought Honey three pairs of shorts & four t-shirts. He’ll be looking even hotter than ever.

A quick stop at Costco, and then on to the ferry to get back to the munchkins. They were great for Grandma & their aunties. We’ve decided to come back home tomorrow, because Daddy wants us to. He misses us, and we miss him. It feels like forever that we’ve been gone…and it’s only been two days.

I haven’t had much internet time either – too busy with family and sunshine. Oh, and work.

I think I may be suffering from Blog withdrawal. I miss you all, and will return in full force before you know it. Hope you all had a great long weekend! And to my local buddies – can’t wait to see you in person.

I can’t wait to spend my girt certificates at IKEA. They’ve been festering in my wallet since CHRISTMAS!

Too bad we missed each other. It looks like you did A-OK on your own. Hope your travels home are safe and child challenge free. See you next time, for sure!

Looks like you had a great time. I love Ikea, especially without kids. John and I have done that once too, and we spend a few hours there, and way too much money. Lots of fun.
