Saving The World Is Hard Work

Yesterday after lunch Nathan and I traipsed back to Graham’s school. I had volunteered to help with the Halloween crafts and Nathan is allowed to come along too. Emily stayed home with Daddy.

I had my camera along, of course. My little Powershot went and died on me this summer. I tried to convince “Santa” that a new Powershot would be great to have for quick trips out and about. He is the voice of reason, and suggested that maybe I would rather spend that money on more accessories? He’s so smart.

On yesterday’s outing I brought the big gun along.

When we take Graham to school we park a street away and cross a bridge over a little creek. The light was so pretty in the afternoon. I made Nathan stop running for a second (it was torture for him) and snapped a photo.

The Creek

Water is so soothing.

The kids in the class? Not so soothing. Cute, but loud. And full of cupcakes. And covered in craft stuff. But they were dressed in the most adorable costumes. I would post a photo here, but that would require getting permission from fifteen other parents. If you are a Facebook friend, you can see it there.

All of the excitement of the day was tiresome for our oldest Super Hero. I was glad I had the camera along so I could catch this shot after I parked in our driveway.

So, so tired

Saving the world is hard work.

Adorable. I still think super hero pj’s are a bit cuter than costumes, but the built in muscles make me giggle every time! I hope the kids had a great time celebrating.

You mean they actually fall asleep in the car at that age? There is hope.

We are clearly taking a hiatus of napping in the car. I miss those days.

What a sweeeeeet photo.

Love the water picture, almost as much as the one of Nathan!

I was at school for a while today too, with Georgia in tow … it was WILD. We are VERY brave women.

That’s a gorgeous shot of the creek… and you get to see that on the way to school? I am envious my friend, all I get is concrete and town houses.

Mr. Incredible is adorable - looks like he had too much fun :-)

I know how he feels. It was a busy, but fun day here too.

That is such a great photo. Be sure to show it to all the girlfriends. It will illicit maximum ‘AWE’ responses from them!
