Tomorrow, I pack up the boys and make the trip to the Coast. I’ve started packing already, and making a list, of course.
Clothes? Check.
Diapers? Check.
Snacks? Check.
Camera? Check.
Laptop? Check.
Music for my drive? Check.
DVD player and movies for the kids? CHECK! It would be a fatal error to travel without those.
I realized today that the trip may be more difficult now that Graham no longer wears diapers. He’ll tell me, “I have to go pee!”, and I’ll have to stop. It will likely be right at a moment where I don’t want to stop, because Nathan will be rudely awakened from a nap. Or, we’ll have to pull over on the side of the highway so Graham can pee over the bank, bum exposed to the world. At least boys are easier when it comes to going outside…
I’m sure it will go well. And if not, I have a day of shopping sans kids to look forward to, while they play with Grandma and their aunties. Oh, the IKEA summer sale. I can hardly stand my excitement.
Adios!

Yes, Sarah left a puddle right in front of the Peachland sign on Friday. At least boys can direct their pee away from their feet! We’re still learning the ‘pee at the side of the road’ routine.
Have fun!!!

Yes, boys are great for road side peeing. We had to stop today on our way back from my parents – I was laughing as I watched the arc of pee! Too funny!
Have a great trip!

Have fun!
I’ve travelled with my kids a few times and it has always gone suprisingly well. Even during potty training. No DVD’s either. You’ll have a blast.

I hope the trip there went great and that Ikea treated you well! I’m sure you’ll have some precious moments to share once you get home!
