We’ve had a lot of company since little miss Emily arrived.
My Mom and stepdad were here for her birth and left last Saturday afternoon. My Dad came up Monday and brought along his sister (my aunt) and my sister Dayna. They only stayed Monday night and headed back to the Coast on Tuesday. Dayna wanted to see Emily (and the boys) before she leaves. Dayna is heading to New Zealand tomorrow for two months of travelling and then spending 6 months at YWAM Perth. My little sister’s all grown up….
Back to visitors. Dayna’s mom Shona (my stepmom) arrived yesterday with my baby sister Courtney. (Are you keeping track? I should give you the family tree, but that is a post unto itself. Just know that my Dad has had his share of marriages and kids – 9 of us total.) Shona and Courtney are here until tomorrow.
There’s nothing like a new baby to get family to travel hours on end just to see you. Well, to see the baby. But can you blame them?
They come to see the boys too. While newborns are soft and cuddly, these guys PERFORM for hours on end when company arrives.
Our weekend will be filled with family and good food. Hope yours is just as swell.

Look at little Emily all in pink! What a great feeling that must be.
Enjoy your company, the great food and your family.

Hope you had (have) a GREAT time with all that company…but I also remember how tiring it was to play hostess with a newborn (let alone your 2 other kids!!) Hope you are getting the rest you need too=)

That’s so great, the family and friends there to meet Emily
I recall when my nephew Roger was born, my bro “dad” and “grandma” took Roger home to show everyone (his mom was in hospital for 3 days from a C-section). He’s adorable and amazing, wish to share his first pics with you. Our Dad, my half-sister (his first from an earlier marriage), my bro and I went to France last fall to have Roger meet his French relatives. I can tell you how he’s doin now at age 6, but for another time.+
