I bought a Tamrac bag the other day - on short notice - to bring into the Stadium at the Convention because the Secret Service is anal retentive. Anyway, it was perfect. It held two lenses (my telephoto and my 50 which was all I needed) plus had two separate areas for cards/money and then an area for my blackberry and phone plus room for sunglasses, a moleskin, credentials and a compact and large brush since I was going out right after. Seriously perfect and small and didn't make me feel like I was lugging around a giant bag all damn day. I wish I had had it for all the convention days prior.

My only complaint about the shootsac is that you can not fit a camera body + lens in any of the pockets -- and even without the lens a body fits quite snugly.

But if you plan on always carrying your body on the strap, the shootsac is a really cute option. I love that I can keep snacks, keys and a water bottle in any of the pockets.

i have a crumpler for my nikon d60 and i am in big-time love with it! I take it on playdates with my munchkins and took it to maui and loved the non-massive bag feel. plus it kept everything super safe.

Personally, I like the look of the shootsac. I've never seen either in real life though, so my opinion's not worth a lot.

The shootsac seems great. I have the same lowepro bag and I wish I could have a shootsac to shift the weight from one shoulder to the other. And plus! You can get really fancy covers for the bag.

I might be biased, but I say go for the Shootsac. I love mine. The lenses stay put (even the 50-200mm), and the bag is comfortable to carry. (and cute!)

I use a Nikon D40, so if I put the body in one pocket and the lens in another pocket I can really carry it all. Any camera body that's larger than the D40 might not fit in a slot, though. There's 6 pockets, and in them I manage to fit D40 body, 50mm f/1.4, 18-55mm, 50-200mm, SD cards, card reader, and 2 - 3 filters. Oh, and my wallet and phone.

If your camera body is bigger, I think the Crumpler will be the better bet if you want to keep the camera body in the bag. Or if you don't want the hassle of storing it with a body cap and lens separately. There's also the fact that the Shootsac doesn't zip or velcro completely. It's pretty open. Each slot has a snap, which works just fine for my purposes. But I carry a heavier duty waterproof bag if the weather could turn bad.
