Diesel and Zoey watching the sun, set.

Thanks so much for your comments and emails about Nathan and his Strep throat (or maybe it’s tonsilitis? I wasn’t at his appointment and assumed it was Strep because that’s what Emily had). He had a great sleep the night following the barfing and he got progressively more chipper as the day wore on yesterday. He even moved from eating yogurt to eating some toast to sitting down for supper with us. We’ll see what happens after this week of antibiotics are up, but it was great to hear your stories from both sides of the tonsil-removing.

He’s feeling even better today, so our plans for an ice cream date this afternoon while Graham’s at a birthday party are still on (Emily’s going on a “date” with Daddy at the same time)(Graham will get a “date” next weekend). We’re excited to keep up with these one-on-one times with all of the kids.

In other news, here’s my weekly recap of stuff I wrote elsewhere:

Over at Work It! Mom:

Over at Cafe Mom

Over at The Bad Moms Club:

Over at Life Made Delicious

  • Grey Cup/Hockey/Any Day Appetizers. You may have seen me post these before, but hey. It was for the newsletter (that goes to over 500,000 Canadians!) and I love appetizers.

An extra large thanks to the veterans and everyone who fought for our freedom. My Grandpa was in the war and from all accounts, he was a different man when he came back. I can’t even imagine the horrors he experienced in the trenches and am forever grateful that so many gave their lives so that we could have the lives we we have today.

Have a great weekend, folks.

  1. I’m glad Mr. Nathan is feeling better!

This is, again, a bunch of great writing, lady.

Thanks, lady. I often feel like an impostor. Your encouragement means more than you know. :)

    Hi!

I hope Nathan gets well completely. Ice cream is just a treat for those have a tonsillitis operated. In childhood, me and my sister had this operation but never used to feel bad for being in bed as we used to enjoy the ice creams.

    YES! For salsa on eggs.

(Sorry I haven’t been around. Catching up now.)

Hope everyone feels better soon. Yay for getting Fridays off. Looks like you rocked Blissdom. The costume parade is awesome.

As for me, I decided to apply for grad school and we started making plans to sell the house and relocate to Vancouver for two years. And then I changed my mind, so we’re not. You know. The usual.

    Love to you and yours!!!

  4. Hi, been thinking about poor Nathan. I hope he keeps feeling better and better.

I need to check out your appetizer post, holidays coming up and all, and my appetizer chops are definitely in need of updating.

    Thank you.
