No SMRT sayings from me, but I have been wondering about the whole clothes line thing. Doesn't the sun fade the colours of your clothes? I hung a black shirt on a drying rack and one sleeve was in the sun and has turned a slight aubergine colour, leaving the rest black. Grr. Rachel Joy's last blog post..Jack-in-the-box!

I know this isn’t your most current post, but I had to comment because I do that, too! I try to do a load of laundry every day and every day I recite “hang tops by their bottoms and bottoms by their tops” in my head as I hang them. Glad I’m not alone in this one!

When I took driver’s ed, I had heard from my friends that this was always a toughie on the test: remembering which way to turn your wheels when you park on a street.
I was nervous…but then my driving instructor taught me that handy dandy little acronym and it hasn’t failed me yet!

oh, and all the other ones you mentioned. I JUST said “righty tighty” this morning in the shower…

I do the righty tighty/lefty loosey thing every morning in the shower too… and then I think of my friends daughter Lucy…
I know the great lakes (like Bethany Actually) but with HOMES (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior).

I sometimes do the L thing with my hands but if I’m wearing a watch I just look for that- always on my left.

OMG I've never heard of anyone else doing the "pretend writing" for left and right before!!! I totally do that! I always say "i before e", "never eat shredded wheat", and I count the mountains and valley's of my knuckles instead of the "30 days hath September" to know whether a month has 30 vs 31 days. joyce's last blog post..Hudson's Vocabulary

I was just talking about “Never Eat Shredded Wheat” the other day. I hated when kids said “Never Eat Soggy Weiners”…It was just, so. very. wrong. I’ve used the others before, except I’ve never heard “Tops by their bottoms, and bottoms by their tops” before – but I like it!
