I just returned from my monthly Dr.’s check-up. It’s exactly 2 months until my due date, but only about 7 weeks until I’m induced (which is the week after Thanksgiving). Unless I go into labour earlier than that on my own, as she pointed out.
All is well. The baby is head down, where it’s supposed to be. She got out the Doppler, and the heartbeat was around 152 beats per minute because the gaffer was moving around. He or she even pushed the Dr.’ s hand away. Apparently Baby D. likes its space.
My blood pressure is perfect, yada yada yada. Nothing out of the ordinary, and no concerns. Which is fantastic news of course.
Here’s a picture of me from this morning:

Getting bigger every day, but that’s part of the deal. I’m in awe of how my belly can get so very huge without tearing open. Pretty fascinating. I’ve yet to get a stretch mark…but this pregnancy has been different, and I still have a little while to go yet. I do have those lovely veins ravaging my body and those have not been fun. The stretch marks could still show up and they would be totally worth it to have another sweet baby.
I’m feeling pretty good. The baby’s movements are starting to be more on the uncomfortable side, but they’re still the coolest feeling ever. I’m tired and a little emotional too. Again par for the course. While I’m growing a little weary of being pregnant, it’s more that I really just want to hold my own baby. All these newborns popping out are making me a little impatient for ours. Before we know it…

Sounds like a wonderful appointment. Not long to go now!!!! And you look fantastic

I love your baby belly – so perfect just like the little one inside.
Glad everything is going well and he/she is head down. You’re coasting now!
Put your feet up!

So glad to hear everything is going so well! The due date thing is funny, and I’m totally clinging to mine, but your baby may very well arrive before ours, even though I have the earlier date and that makes me a little excited, to be reminded that this part is really a surprise, what gender the baby is and when they actually get here (for both you and I), is totally in God’s hand and can just come out of the blue at any time in the next few weeks! How crazy is that!

So exciting that you’re getting to the business end of things
What do Graham and Nathan think about it all? Its been a long time for them to contain their excitement!

Cute! You look just about the same to me as your last pic, but I’m sure you don’t feel the same=)
I’m getting professional prego pics done this time right around the 7 month mark so I hope I still look as good as you when the time comes! I got all swollen and puffy towards the end last time so I’ll cross my fingers=) Fluid retention is no fun!

You are looking marvelous! Take lots and lots of pictures (as if you don’t know that) but take lots with your boys and Matthew. That’s one thing I didn’t do enough of along the way. Glad everything is coming along smoothly. Your belly really is just plain cute:)
