Yesterday was a productive day of getting things DONE. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you close the laptop.
Who knew?
One of the projects I completed was putting my stack of developed photos into photo albums and picture frames. I came across this photo from the summer and got the giggles.
Awesome.
After supper I was telling Honey that I was plum out of posting ideas and did not know what to post for today. He suggested that I post the above photo and leave it at that.
But I can do better than that! I remembered these meltdown photos I took of Emily last month.
I cannot believe I did not post them. I meant to.
They are blurry, but you get the idea.
Oh, dear.
That one makes my heart ache a little.
And then? I remembered this one of Nathan from two years ago.
Some moms? Comfort their children when they are crying.
I, however? Take a photo first. Then I comfort.
Life is not always sunshine and roses over here. It’s either laugh or cry right along with them, folks.
I choose to laugh. Feel free to join me.

LOL – So glad I am not the only one that takes a photo of meltdowns to help me remember these precious moments.

I’m glad I’m not the only mother who does this;)

Hahahaha, hilarious!

Why, oh, why do I find these hilarious? I know how upset they are when they are taken. At one point, I had to bribe Dances with Explosives to let me take his picture. Somehow, the camera is not so comforting haha.
I love them!

Haha, my mom has pics like that. I give her a lot of crap about them, but I know I’ll do the exact same thing!

SO cute! Poor babies, they are so hard done by, just like my babies!

*giggle*

cute!!
way to capture how it really is.

I think laughter is the best choice, so much of the time.

What kind of evil mothering are you doing over there to cause the meltdowns….trying to wipe a nose??? Maybe, trying to fix a shirt???
HA HA HA!!! Children are amazing aren’t they.
[Reply]
got to love blackmail….
[Reply]
hehehehehe … I’m with ya!
[Reply]
I honestly don’t have any meltdown photos! I guess I’m one who comforts straight away. Perhaps I need to take photos first … hmmm …
[Reply]
Don’t we take photos to document our lives? Are not meltdowns a part of our lives? Someday your kids will think these are hilarious.
[Reply]
they really are the best, aren’t they? Nice work.

I do that too.
Paige, dangling from the high chair as she tried to climb in herself.
Me, having a heart attack while I capture the moment digitally.
I don’t know why, but Graham crying cracks me up. (Poor man, here I am a thousand miles away, chuckling while he cries…) I think it’s the juxtaposition, because he looks like such a big, strong boyish boy, and yet he is so free with his emotions. That is an amazing thing!! I hope he grows into a big, strong manly man who is free with his emotions

You are too funny! Those are great, and hey, I do the same with mine. Even if I catch them coloring on the walls I run for the camera to get a photo before I break it up, my family thinks I am nuts!
[Reply]
I’m sure you can imagine that I have a few of those myself. Don’t worry, they’ll come back to bit them in the butt on their wedding. ha HA!
[Reply]
These? Are hilarious. I know those expressions all too well!
[Reply]
Oh my, this brings me back to when my boys pulled those faces.
I’m new to your blog, please feel welcomed to come visit mine.

Love it!

I am sooooo relieved that I’m not the only mom who takes pictures of their kids while they are in the midst of a meltdown. Pictoral proof, I say.
[Reply]
Hee hee. Every now and then we take a picture of Isabella when she’s having a meltdown then immediately flip it to the preview screen and show it to her. It stops her mid meltdown everytime when she realizes how silly she looks!

cute!

I’m not a mom yet, but I’m filing this one away to help with future insanity. I’m guessing snapping a photo and chuckling helps a mom cope:) Should I try that with my husband when he’s pissy? Hang on honey, I want to comemorate your “fuming” face! Hmm…maybe not so much with the husband. Oh well. Thanks for sharing:)

You should frame that first one of the boys – hilarious!
