May 20th marks seven years to the day that I walked down the aisle and pledged to love my Honey forever. You can read the details of how we hooked up here. Do it. It’s a good story. It’s proof that love can bite you in the hiney when you least expect it.
Matthew celebrated his thirtieth birthday in March (I grabbed a young ‘un. Score!) I wrote a post in honour of his birthday and apparently my complete and utter love for him came through loud and clear. How could it not? I have been blessed beyond all measure, and I KNOW IT.
What makes us work so well? I think it’s due to a number of factors. I was going to post all about them, but I don’t want to come across as preachy or gloating. What works for us wouldn’t necessarily work for everyone else. Except for the love, honour and respect stuff. That trilogy works, regardless of who you are.
Just know this. I am not perfect. Or even close. Matthew is not perfect…though he’s lot closer that I am.
But together?
WE are perfect.
Perfectly happy. Perfectly in love…with each other and our kidlets. Perfectly committed to each other and to our family.
Forever and ever.
