Little Moments

Once upon a time my kids would say something funny and I would run to the computer to document it on my BLAWG because that’s what I did. I don’t seem to do that as much anymore and I would blame Facebook and Twitter, like everyone else does, but if you are my friend on either of those platforms, you know that I would be a Liar McFibberpants. I’m not very active on either of those platforms and the only one to blame is THE MAN. Or, my job. I’m blocked from the Internet during my work hours. Once I’m outside of my office there is the husband and the children and the meals and the gym and the LIFE and, yeah. My laptop misses me.

I do have an iPhone, however, and tend to document what I can, when I can and it usually goes through Instagram to The Facebook and The Twitter, but sometimes I go old school and just type a quote. Here’s a little bit of what’s been going on these last two weeks or so.

Date night!

A (not horribly creepy) clown (probably because she’s a woman), made balloon animals for all of the kids at church.

(The green balloon is a tree. Or so the story goes.)

Starbucks patio date with my best girl:

Trampoline Ninjas!

I just love this photo of them.

My office does a team-building exercise (Team building exercise not toniiight)(Flight Of The Conchords) every September and this year we went on a boat cruise around the lake.

It was awesome.

Moon over Prairie Valley:

“My view, right now. #FamilyCamp2011″

(This was before we were all bouncing on the waves behind the boat.)

Top: “This means that I want a kiss.”

Bottom: “This means that I speak French.”

There’s a first time for everything. Here’s the first day they all ended school at the same time (I picked them up and we went to the beach).

Yesterday was the first full day of school for Miss Emily and she wanted to take the bus with her brothers.

She climbed on, met the bus driver, made her way to a seat with Nathan and NEVER WAVED GOODBYE. I’ll be milking that one for the next forty years or so.

I’m still taking photos with the big camera but am about a month behind on editing them. I’m thankful that I have my handy dandy camera phone to catch the daily moments because just scrolling through them makes me happy, you know?

  1. Great moments! I’m like you, and find it harder to capture them these days. I think it also gets harder as the kids get older, for some reason. And yes, full time work can really get in the way of blogging and taking photos and stuff – how rude!! ;-)

Love the photo of the kids waiting for the bus. She is growing up!

  7. First off, thank you for explaining the green balloon. he he.

I adore that pic of them with the boys’ “buzz” cuts, as well call them. And of course the hand-holding.

I posted pics from my phone today too… thank goodness for those gadgets! :)

  8. I ADORE the photo of Emily holding hands with her brother! I used to wish I had a big brother to watch over me, I was the oldest and the protector. So sweet that they love her so much!

  9. I’m at least a month behind in editing photos from my big camera as well. My iphone has made me lazy. BUT, without that iphone, those lazy photos wouldn’t be taken at all. Therefore, iphone photos = awesome.
