I must say, as a new member your blog caught my attention first. I have a mini-me also. And now she is almost 20, and I was 22 when I had her; full-circle almost. Not only have I gotten a taste of my own medicine by watching what my own mother went through; but also a new a wonderful outlook on life. To live is to learn, and to learn is to change. M daughter changed me by learning through her life. Feel blessed, because you are. And I am sure your mother had you in that dress for a reason!:0)

Hey there, Wow the beer bottle picks must be a family thing, lol. I know I have seen baby me with one too. As for the wonderful leasure suit, I hate to break the news to you but one of the only pics I have of us as tots your in that suit too, lol.

Hey dutchblitz, long time no seek and I’m an occassional reader of your blog. Not only your pics of the current day are nice, so is yesterday. I bet those childhood photos bring back good memories…and the funniest is you have a brown bottle. Nowadays, all those angry anti-obesity activists don’t like the coke and 7up baby bottles. :-/ As a person of Flemish-French descent (I’m the man who said his father is from French Flanders or the Nord/Pas-de-Calais region), I knew about how toddlers are introduced to wine and spirits in a young age, my Dad explained this to me on his parents gave him a tiny fraction of liquor into water or juice. Maybe that’s his family, but I doubt any parent would expose their kids to alcohol in an early age. I’m an American from the left coast (southern Cal.) with all the P-C ness and neo-cons alike telling 18 year olds they can go overseas to fight in wars, but can’t enter a bar. Sorry for the off topic message, but I’m glad you share pics of yourself, husband, the family (can’t believe the kids are growing up fast) and your home. I hope your summer was fantastic in where else…Canada. +

Aww – you should be happy! Emily will be so glad to be just like you someday, I’m quite sure.

I had those “thunder thighs” when I was a baby also. Eliza is following right in my footsteps… At least I got one out of the three. I was thinking that I got royally jipped in the whole homebirth times three affair

You guys are all awesome!

When we had Graham, all I heard was how much he looked like his Daddy.

I saw it, yes, but I also saw ME.

I got tired of explaining that he looked like my baby photos. Nobody cared.

Then we had Nathan, and there was no argument. HE IS HIS DADDY.

Emily is a good mix of us, but according to my Mom, she has my personality too.

I am not sure if I should be happy about this, or afraid.
