I’ve actually been struggling with a ‘troll’ recently- however, i KNOW who she is- and she even admitted to it when i called her bluff- but, she was leaving hateful, nasty comments on my site, trying to start rumors about my husband, pretending to be his ‘mistress’-(this was before i called her bluff) yet, she had no idea that i knew who she was (his baby mama, EX girlfriend from EIGHT years ago). CRAZY! and then she had the audacity to say that i’m “stuck on myself” because i have a BLOG. i’m like, “hello? EVERYone blogs now! get with the program!”- however, she is a stay-at-home-mom who home-schools her children and who has isolated her children (including my stepdaughter)- from us, both sets of grandparents (even her own parents/grandparents), great-grandparents, extended family, etc. its really a sad case and even sadder that she obsesses over us. she visits my blog multiple times a day- even AFTER i let her know that i knew who she was….

but honestly- people like that are pathetic- no matter what the reason is for them visiting and commenting. you just have to know that things are FAR TOO boring in their lives! they get at least SOME satisfaction in their lives from reading your blog.

i know i do! love reading about your kiddos- since miss emily is close in age to my youngest…

Why would someone get offended that you don’t talk about your faith enough? Who the heck cares? That’s a very personal thing and talking about it doesn’t make you a better person.

And you know if you did talk about it all the time, she’d be all “you talk about your faith too much.”

I will never understand trolls.

I have never understood people who read blogs they don't enjoy and, what's more, COMMENT on them. Do you sit around listening to music you can't stand, watching TV shows that bore you and hanging out with people who drive you nuts? Why spend your time doing anything you don't HAVE to do that you so verbally don't enjoy? It says so much more about the reader than the blog. Don't they get that? Sometimes its hard having outsiders looking in and critiquing. Sometimes they say as bloggers we as for it by opening up enough of our life that we are open to judgement. Good for you for standing up for yourself. I don't get trolls (read: complete strangers with nothing better to do than pick on others) for the most part but the lovely part of the internet is that you have the ability to block jerks. As if we're not critical enough of our selves, we don't need complete strangers adding to the muck. The beauty of the blogging community is the support.
