I was (and still am) a terrible skater–both ice and roller; however, I’m terribly GOOD at preemptive falling. Know what that is? It’s falling on your butt the moment you think you might be heading for a total biff. Similar to running into the grass when roller-blading. Just better to get the embarrassing moment out of the way a bit faster.

I think it’s awesome that you’re placing such importance on activity as a family. You’re a good Mom.
