You realize that fall is truly here when the air gets crisp, the leaves start to turn…and your kitchen is bombarded with fruit flies. We mix the following concoction in a bowl next to the sink: 2 cups water, 2 Tbsp white sugar, 2 Tbsp white vinegar and a few drops of dish soap. Before you know it you will have some Fruit Fly Soup. Not for consumption, unless that actually sounds tasty to you.

I should point out that, while this method is effective in killing fruit flies, it doesn’t actually tame them. And dead flies do no tricks.
