Oh just thought of something I love using, the healing brush tool. That’s an awesome tool that helps to fix little areas like scratches. It takes a sample of the surrounding area so in some circumstances it works better than the clone stamping tool.

I'm a bit tardy in my reply---but like Loralee, I love the clone tool. I also love that my husband's a rockin' graphic artist and can remove multiple, oh-so-unnecessary chins, at my command. I have always wondered how to do a b & w picture with one spot of colour. I have seen some beautiful stuff done like that!

BEWARE! Photoshop is like a drug. I have to tear myself away from it most days. But then again, I have no clue what I’m doing half the time. I used Dooce’s Lovely Glow Effect for a year straight because it was the only thing I knew. So, I will happily read the tutorials you gather.

I was wondering if you had looked into purchasing “actions” for photoshop? Is that the same as textures? I’ve been thinking of buying some and have been looking at two women photographers selling actions – lily blue and wynona robison. Does anyone know if it’s hard to make your own actions or worth it to buy them?
