Emily’s First Easter Dress

When my Mom was visiting, she asked me if I was going to buy Emily an Easter dress. I told her that I had thought about it, but cheapness common sense had prevailed. She has many a cute dress that have either been given to her, or are on loan from Karen. She didn’t NEED a new Easter dress, right?

WRONG!

When she left, Mom put some money in my hand. I asked her what it was for and she said that my baby girl needed an Easter dress. It was my turn to give my head a shake.

I was in town running errands this morning. I was about to head to Winners to check out their selection, when I heard something amazing on the radio. The Treehouse Shop on Front Street is closing down and everything is on sale. I turned right instead of left and made a beeline to the sale.

For you out-of-towners (and Internationals), the Treehouse Shop is a cute boutique that sells great quality women and children’s clothes. The lowest discount for their sale is 20%, the highest, 60%!

If you’re local, they have the cutest stuff for both girls and boys. Check it out. But don’t buy the same dress, or you may wake up to find a flaming bag of poo on your doorstep.

Here is what I found for my sweet baby girl:

Now, picture it with tights, bloomers, Mary Janes (I had already bought some), and maybe even a bonnet. You’ll see the big reveal come Easter Sunday.

Wheeeeeeee!!!!!!

  1. I’m so glad you bought the dress. This is what having a little girl is all about! (The last Easter dress I had was accessorized with a hat, tights, Mary Janes, and even dainty white gloves, if you can believe it. I was seven and in heaven.)

  2. *sigh* and that is the reason why every Mom should have a baby girl (and there are excellent reasons why every Mom should have a boy too of course, not wanting to run down anybody!). Baby dresses are just perfect – looking forward to seeing her all dolled up :)
