When Matthew and I got married eleven years ago we kept our bridal party to siblings, save for his best friend from high school and beyond. His Best Man was his brother and my Maid of Honor was my sister. His sister was another bridesmaid, as were my (seven and thirteen year-old) sisters Courtney and Dayna. My two youngest brothers, Chad and Lance, served as junior groomsmen to flesh out Matthew’s side of the wedding party.
They were nine and eleven, respectively.
Lance is getting married to Natalie this coming weekend and they asked us if Graham and Nathan could be junior groomsmen in their wedding party. The request was one-third because Matthew and I had encouraged the two of them to date in the first place and one-third FULL CIRCLE MOMENT and one-third I THINK THEY WANTED TO KILL EVERYONE WITH THE HANDSOME. Case in point:
If I might also point out that Lance and Graham rock The Smirk and Chad and Nathan are the making me worry about those who have daughters. Also! Anyone who knows us (Myself included!) says that Nathan is 100% Matthew’s spawn. And yet, I see a Moran family resemblance for the first time. It’s there.
Family resemblances aside, I’m a little bit smitten with my boys in all of their Handsomeness. Part of me is wistful for the chubby babies they once were and part of me can envision them at their high school graduation and the biggest part of me wishes we could freeze time right here, right now. Just for a year or ten.
They are everything I ever hoped for and more than I ever dreamed of. They are my boys.

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen anything so adorable. They’re LITTLE MEN. When did that happen?!? I love the immediate attitude that comes with putting on one’s first suit!

Wow, those are some handsome dudes in their fancy duds!!
I know what you mean about freezing time – just to relish in exactly who they are right at this moment:)

Oh my gosh! I do not think those boys could be more handsome. So sweet and boyish, yay.

My, they are handsome boys. I’m glad my girls are at school right now because they would be looking over my shoulder asking after them!

It might be the blonde hair in the resemblance but I’m seeing Mark. And yes, you are going to have swarms of girls after your sons.

I didn’t know boys could be so handsome; the suits are amazing. It is such a shame you can’t put these moments in a bottle, to sample whenever you feel like it in the future.

Love.

Those two are not allowed near the Poptart until she’s 30.
(so they have 28 years to wait)

Yeah, I was sitting here trying to think of something that’s inherently cuter than little boys in little tuxes and I think the answer is: nothing.
