I totally agree ... we are bombarded with pictures that are completely unrealistic for the non-celebrity working mom. So, I really like this post. It has actually taken me some time to think about what part of me do I "love" and I actually came up with a few things ... now all of these things need some "pampering", but they have always been "perfect" enough that I don't want to change them. They are my lips, my fingernails and my feet. My lips and fingernails are always "naked" because I like them how they are ... their shape, their natural color. My feet are small and shaped nicely, but scrub and lotion them almost every night. Thank you for making me think about them again. The Beautiful Women Project is about that: finding the beauty within and around us, not just what is put in front of us on the television, movie screen, and advertisements. The thirty five women who share their stories and their images were brave enough to share with the world their lives and their bodies for everyone to see that you don't have to be a model or a celebrity to be beautiful. If the exhibit does not come to your community, check out the book based on the project: Beautiful Women, Celebrating Beauty in Stories and Stills. Thank You for sharing your insight with all of us.
