I talked to Christy on Tuesday afternoon and asked how her beautiful pregnant self was feeling. Her response? “I’m DONE.”
That night, her water broke. And yesterday, Olivia (probably) arrived. If that doesn’t put a positive spin on “Be careful what you wish for…” then I don’t know what does.
I couldn’t go see her last night because our small group meets at my house, but I hope to meet her baby girl today. I say HOPE, because of the other reason “Be careful what you wish for…” applies to my daily life.
I had to go and wax poetic about Christmas yesterday. Then I woke up this morning to the following sight:
I love snow. It’s white, it’s calming, it helps with the Christmas spirit. I just hate driving in it. Let me rephrase that.
I hate watching out for the other dimwits driving in it.
Graham has Playschool this morning and we are also picking up Ben for Christy, so driving is unavoidable. Lucky for me we have a 4Runner with 4WD, and I have a hubby that offered to do the driving for me. So, I sit here nice and cozy sipping a warm bevvie, and my baby girl is sleeping peacefully. Hopefully the snow will stop soon and she can meet the newest girl to join the Sisterhood along with Avelyn and Danai.
The snow looks nice out the window, and Emily looks pretty dreaming about all of the fun she will have with her girlfriends.

I love that look of complete abadonement…what a sweet, peaceful baby. She looks so much like her brothers. All you want for Christmas is right there!

Wow, look at that snow! We don’t have snow here. We have to drive 4 hours to go and snowboard in it, LOL!! I’m sure it is a pain in some ways (driving in it, shovelling it, etc) but to me it looks magic!!
Congratulations to your friend on her new baby. So many new baby girls over your way!! Hopefully they’ll be wonderful friends growing up, just like their mommas!

Try driving in 2.5 feet of snow. Ontop of that it was -18 out this morning. The joy of the North.

I’m going to miss the snow…but I sure won’t be complaining when I’m lying on a white sandy beach in the bay of islands!

I’m going to miss the snow. Rain for snow is not a good trade.
