A Year of Blogging

A year ago today, I started my foray into the blogging world.

I’m new to the whole concept of “blogging” I’ve been thinking about doing it, as a means to distribute my propaganda. Namely, pictures and information about my kids.

Graham - 2 1/2!

Nathan - 11 months old!

After a night out with the girls last night…

The Girls

I was inspired to get started. Now, a late night and an early morning (ala those same kids) does not make for an alert mind. I’m trying to see through the bleariness, but it likely won’t get better until I have some of my beloved Diet Coke. Those who know me know I like the stuff. Those who know me well know that I don’t go a day without it.

I haven’t read many blogs, but what I’ve seen is that it is just a way for everyone to get their thoughts out there. Last night I started thinking…what do I have to say that people would want to read? Then I realized that we all have many aspects to ourselves, and I haven’t even discovered all of mine yet. Maybe some will come out as I write.

Not much has changed. I still love my kids…and Diet Coke.

Last night I went out with those same five friends (Adele, Amanda, Christy, Erin & Tianna), plus a few new ones (Jen, Jess & Steph). We were out celebrating Tianna’s birthday, and also celebrating the impending arrival of Amanda’s bambino. She’ll be here Friday at the latest.

Here’s a picture of us other three preggos laying hands on Amanda in the hopes that little miss Kicky Boots is inspired to hurry up and come out so we can all meet her:

It’s been a busy year. The kids are growing…here are a couple more pictures from a year ago:

We had the house fire, and then the restoration that came after.

I’ve made many new friends, reconnected with some old friends, and gotten even closer to my existing friends.

Our 5-year house renovation is almost done. We’ve both been blessed with lots of work to keep us busy (and pay for the never-ending renos).

Honey is still the greatest, and is even greater on a daily basis. Thanks, God, for the love of my life…and the great kids you bless us with.

On that note, we’re expecting baby #3 in less than three months. Yes, it will be even busier, but there will also be even more opportunities for those wonderful little moments that make the craziness worth it.

This next year, I believe, will be another amazing one. I’m looking forward to it.
